7 Winter Activities to Do with Grandchildren in Georgia

Whether it’s for the holidays or just to see their grandparents, it’s always exciting when family comes to visit, especially grandchildren. You can make your time together extra special this year with some fun, sometimes out-of-the-box, winter activities that are easy to do in Georgia.

Best Winter Activities Near Atlanta, GA

1. Enjoy an Escape Room Adventure

An escape room can be a memorable diversion when older grandkids come to visit. Escape rooms are filled with many unique riddles, games and challenges, requiring all members to work together to unlock each room’s story. Be quick though, you only have a certain amount of time to complete the challenge!

Most escape rooms are handicap accessible and can be enjoyed by most members of your family. Many have a lower age limit, generally seven or eight years of age (some suggest 13 and up), so be sure the room you choose fits your grandchildren’s interests and abilities. There are lots of escape rooms in Georgia to choose from, especially in the surrounding Kennesaw, Peachtree and Marietta areas. Check out their various adventures and find one that you think will appeal to you and your grandkids. Here’s a list of escape rooms in the area to get you started.
